Store owners need easily accessible information about their refrigeration equipment.
Moreover, support personel and service technichians need to be able to support and
service the refrigeration equipment efficiently. As a partner to Wica Cold, the Docfactory
team has implemented a solution not only solving the product information distribution,
but also a unique way for Wica Cold to distribute product information relevant for a specific
store, product brand or individual product.

Wica Cold AB in Vislanda Sweden has since 1957 provided the Nordic and Baltic market with commercial refrigeration for the food retail industry. Wica Cold AB is since 2005 a part of Arneg group and share the group development and extensive range of products. Products made in Vislanda carries the name Arneg Nordic.

Refrigeration is vital to our food chain and to food retailers’ very  existence: without it, they would have no business. Retailers need to keep their focus on maintaining safe refrigeration temperatures—and avoiding equipment breakdowns that waste time, money, and food.

Wica Cold has implemented a support and service organization serving approximate 10 000 retail locations and more than 100 000 installed refrigeration products in the Nordic region. Supplying the support and service organization with relevant and applicable product information along with enabling retailers to perform self-service is vital to be able to uphold refrigeration equipment uptime.

To solve the need of product information Wica Cold look to do more than simply publish information in multiple formats. There is a need to select and combine information from multiple sources to create different outputs for different audiences. There is a need to enhance content with taxonomies and metadata for consumptions by products, systems, devices and services. There is a need to filter and organize content both statically and dynamically based on product configuration. And finally there is a need to enable customer self-service.

Docfactory implements a multi-source service architecture, where each source system can be focused on the processes and the needs of the individuals who contribute to it. Docfactory collect information from source systems using an information spider algoritm and run them through an analytics engine to optimize the content for a query based retrieval using a service architecture where systems, products, devices, services can retrieve the information which is needed at just right time.

Each source system at WICA Cold can still standalone and address the needs of a particular line of business. By passing data between source systems and adding intelligens, they are the foundation of a fully connected continuous integrated product information portal.

Using the search enhanced information architecture in Docfactory, four important parts, solving the Wica Cold challenges are met.

Discovery – Discovery ensures users or services can find content they were seeking and then discover additional content of which they were unaware, but further answers their question or completes their mission.

Delivery – Delivery uses metadata, ontologies, and semantics in order to understand what a user or service is interested in, and pushes information to the user or service that may benefit them.

Dividing – Content is segmented, layered, and diversified for even greater usability, enabling actions and decision-making on the part of the end users and services.

Prediction – Connects the right information to the right stakeholders or services and connect the right information to other information. A point is enabled where people or services can “ask” the system questions and receive not just results, but answers.

Wica Cold Product Information Portal is now deployed containing product information for 10 000 service locations, 100 000 refrigeration products, 2 000 brands and 70 000 articles and components.

Support, service technicians and retailers can search information about each single refrigeration product and get product, article, brand and customer data based on permissions. Moreover, retailers now have acccess to product information for their installed refrigeration products, enabling self-service.

The product information is distributed using four different product interfaces allowing only relevant and personalized information to be visible for each target group.

Customer dataInformation about each retail location including drawings, placements and parameter settings.

Product dataList of articles and components used in a refrigeration product including product information for each article or component such as photos and drawings.

Service and maintenanceAll available service information for each unique refrigeration product such as drawings, maintanance, installation, schematics and training information.
